My Master Creative list has been updated. The "own_journal" links are all locked but I have also linked to posts in open communities where the stories can be seen. I've written quite a bit of Harry Potter post-movie, plus there are some TSCC vids in recent months.
As my regular visitors will know, my websites were hacked a while back. I've finally tied up the loose ends associated with moving them to a safer home, and you can get to them via the links at http://xfiles.deslea.com.
Please note the following:
ArchiveCentral, and therefore a lot of the fic I hosted for others (and the fic therefore linked from places like The Harem), is still not up. I would have to do considerable re-working of my scripts to accommodate advances in PHP, and I'm not sure I want to do that when those fics are generally available elsewhere by searching Gossamer or Google for the name and author, and when I have a lot going on in real life. At this stage I'll let the pages serve as reference points for titles but not make ArchiveCentral a priority, but we'll see what happens down the track.
MediaCentral image galleries are another thing I've retired. For the most part, these contained DVD stills at a time when that technology was not common and the stills were hard to get. That is no longer the case. It isn't just a case of re-uploading, either - I would have to manually edit the malicious scripting from the hackers out of hundreds of index files. I did have some rarities among the collection, so if anyone wants those back, let me know. But again, generally speaking MediaCentral is not a priority.
Cheers - Deslea

I've done some major overhauling of all my sites, so anyone who links to them, you might want to read this. If you've linked to a root deslea.com address (ie, just http://xfiles.deslea.com, http://ratcave.deslea.com, etc) you're fine, but if you've linked to anything else (including a root address with index.html on the end), chances are you'll need to change them. This is true even if your existing links still work - many will be going down when DNS changes take effect.

I've just done a mass friends list removal. No-one has done anything wrong or anything like that - they're mostly people who I don't think read me much or will really mind (eg people who don't normally comment much to me). If you're just the quiet type but you still want to be here, just comment and I'll add you back. Otherwise, thanks for being here with me for a while, and take care.
ETA: As I've said to a couple of people, this isn't to whore for more comments or anything. I don't mind people just kind of sharing space with me. I do that too. But I'd got to that point, eighteen months into the journal, where I wasn't sure who was sharing space and who had moved on.

This journal is friends-only as a result of an unfortunate family incident. If I know you, even casually, from fandom, LJ support, or mutual friends, just friend me and I'll friend back.
If I don't know you at all but you think my journal may be of interest to you, friend me, and leave a comment below. I have IP addresses logged, and I'll check them. If you come from outside Australia, there will be no problem. If your IP address resolves within Australia, I need to be more careful. I'll probably take a look at your journal or email you, just to be sure you aren't one of the people I'm trying to protect myself from. Please understand, it's not at all personal.
If you're a friend or a member of my paternal family, and you'd like to be able to see my entries but don't want a journal of your own, drop me a line and I'll add you to
thebuddylist. I'm also happy to set you up with a journal of your own. If you're not a regular user of LiveJournal and I've given you a login, you can log in here.

I tweaked my layout this evening. Fixed generated links that didn't work properly, minor cosmetic changes to the Friend/Calendar/Day views. No biggie. I was rather pleased, however, with this handy little addition.
Edited to add: Now, a question, people. I would like to have a low-graphic version of my Talkread (entry-with-comments) page, because it's easier to save it all that way. This is possible already with the Lynx scheme, just by customising my links. (For an example of this entry in Lynx style, click here. Another possibility is Woais).
BUT.
Would this confuse people horribly? I mean, it wouldn't affect you at all when you read from your own journals/friends pages, because there, your style dictates what you see, not mine. But if you visited my journal directly and clicked "Comment" there and got something like this without warning, would it leave you horribly confused and freaked out? Or would you take it in your stride and assume it's part of my custom layout?
I know it sounds silly, but some people are really, well, reliant on the familiar. They like knowing that when they go to LiveJournal system pages, they'll see Dystopia (even if they don't actually know what that is). What do you think?
( And now, geeky technical information about Mimi Glamour layout, mostly for posterity. Don't care? Neither does anyone else! )
